It's been months since Dr. Harleen Quinzel began interviewing criminals at Arkham Asylum, and she's having strange dreams about one of them in particular: The Joker. What starts off as nightmares will soon evolve into fantasies. Despite warnings from the Dark Knight himself, she's utterly fascinated by this man who seems the perfect expression of her theory; who says all the things she needs to hear; who seems to know her better than she knows herself. Harleen is a bold new reimagining of the origin of one of DC's most beloved characters, as envisioned by writer/artist Stjepan Sejic. Collects Harleen #1-3.

Monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are naturally occurring complex biomolecules. New engineering methods have turned mAbs into a leading therapeutic modality for addressing immunotherapeutic challenges and led to the rise of mAbs as the dominant class of protein therapeutics. mAbs have already demonstrated a great potential in developing safe and reliable treatments for complex diseases and creating more affordable healthcare alternatives. Developing mAbs into well-characterized antibody therapeutics that meet regulatory expectations, however, is extremely challenging. Obstacles to overcome include the determination and development of physiochemical characteristics such as aggregation, fragmentation, charge variants, identity, carbohydrate structure, and higher-order structure (HOS). This book dives deep into mAbs structure and the array of physiochemical testing and characterization methods that need to be developed and validated to establish a mAb as a therapeutic molecule. The main focus of this book is on physiochemical aspects, including the importance of establishing quality attributes such as glycosylation, primary sequence, purity, and HOS and elucidating the structure of new antibody formats by mass spectrometry. Each of the aforementioned quality attributes has been discussed in detail; this will help scientists in researching and developing biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars to find practical solutions to physicochemical testing and characterization. Describes the spectrum of analytical tests and characterization methods necessary for developing and releasing mAb batches Details antibody heterogeneity in terms of size, charge, and carbohydrate content Gives special focus to the structural analysis of mAbs, including mass spectrometry analysis Presents the basic structure of mAbs with clarity and rigor Addresses regulatory guidelines - including ICH Q6B - in relation to quality attributes Lays out characterization and development case studies including biosimilars and new antibody formats

That night she ran away to the safest place she could think of: Coney Island amusement park. But there, pursued into the Funhouse by the men who brutalised her father, she beheld unimaginable horrors. Years later, Harleen has put her past behind her, and used her intelligence and ambition to escape her childhood of poverty with a career in psychiatry. Assigned to her first position at Arkham Hospital, she will discover, deep in the asylum, something dangerous and alluring, something quite unlike anything else she has ever known before: The Joker. Because why would you settle for love, when you could have MAD LOVE? From the moment that Harleen finds a rose on her desk, to the moment she dons her harlequin hat, this is the definitive story that chronicles the obsession, the burning desire, the manic laughter, and the birth of one of the most controversial and popular comic book supervillains ever created: Harley Quinn. This book is an essential guide on surrogacy, discussing various legal issues that arise in surrogacy cases. It provides a comprehensive coverage to various issues pertaining to surrogacy arrangements due to failure to meet the needs of those involved in surrogacy, be it the intended parents or the surrogate mother, with special emphasis on the most vulnerable party -- the surrogate child. In the wake of this existing imbalance, the call to reform the practice of surrogacy has also increased. The book provides a comprehensive coverage to various laws and policy regulations in existence dealing with surrogacy, and unravels the latest trends and developments happening around the world as surrogacy gains importance. The international perspectives highlight policies and practices being adopted and followed by various nations with regard to surrogacy regulation and associated parenthood rules. This book also analyses some of the significant cross-border disputes revolving around surrogacy, and explores briefly the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights on matters of parentage and citizenship for children born of trans-national surrogacy with special reference to the prospects of a convention on international surrogacy currently being studied by The Hague Conference on Private International Law. Further, it highlights the issues and questions relating to surrogacy arrangements that are so far unresolved and unanswered and suggests measures for improvements to the existing proposed surrogacy legislation in India and need for uniform international regulation. The book is a great resource for legal practitioners, academics, students, policy-makers, infertility clinics, and charitable organizations working on this issue.
