About the Book: Shree Rama Rajya book is presented by Shree Rama Rajya Parishad is an entity to bring a prayojan to awaken 21st century Hindu Jana and lead them towards “Dharma Yogita”. The messages from book awaken Hindu Jana to move from a state of imperfection to a state of perfection: One Jiva at a time, one Samaj at the time, one Nagar at a time, and one Mahajanapada at a time. About Shree Rama Rajya Parishad: Shree Rama Rajya Parishad urges Hindu Jana to accept Bhagwan Mansha (wisdom) to have diversity and distribution of Guna (gifts and skills. It motivates Hindu Jana to grow up to be Shishu Praudha (adult children) of Bhagwan. As Praudha, they will not only take care of themselves but also help Muka (mute), Akantha (voiceless), and Vidhura (helpless). It supports a free-market economy. And accept inequality due to diversity and inequality of skills. Parishad believes in an elected civilian government with limited-term dictatorial powers. Their primary roles would be to maintain Dharma (law and order), Samanta (fairness), and act as managers of the public resources; passing new laws and regulations would be their secondary role. This book tells the history of the many analogies that have been made between the evolution of organisms and the human production of artefacts, especially buildings. It examines the effects of these analogies on architectural and design theory and considers how recent biological thinking has relevance for design. Architects and designers have looked to biology for inspiration since the early 19th century. They have sought not just to imitate the forms of plants and animals, but to find methods in design analogous to the processes of growth and evolution in nature. This new revised edition of this classic work adds an extended Afterword covering recent developments such as the introduction of computer methods in design in the 1980s and ‘90s, which have made possible a new kind of ‘biomorphic’ architecture through ‘genetic algorithms’ and other programming techniques.

This is volume one in a four-volume edition of primary source materials that document the histories of design across the long nineteenth century. Each volume is arranged by appropriate sub-themes and it is the first set of primary sources to be gathered together in this comprehensive and accessible format. Design refers to more than simply products and personalities or even cultural ideas, it involves consideration of ways of design thinking and applications as well as the philosophies and the other disciplines that impinge upon it. Here, the first volume discusses the theories and discourses that underpinned nineteenth-century design, ranging from design reform to aesthetics, and from the question of ornament to design education. The volumes will be of interest to a range of scholars and students, including those in art and design history, visual culture, and nineteenth-century material culture. They will also be of interest to a broad range of scholars working in areas including aesthetics, gender, politics and philosophy.
