Tracking Consciousness Before Birth and Beyond is based on the author’s recollection of his conscious life before birth. In the 1st part of the book, the author narrates the memories. In the 2nd part, he explains and analyses the narrative from the adult point of view and shows its relationship to the scientific and empirical knowledge of life. In the 3rd, he discusses in depth the various events in the prenatal period such as conception, recognition of food as a source of energy and body building substance, starting the heart, building the brain and body, power of the life force, tree of life, the unborn’s innate intelligence in the timing and execution of its birth and others. Going “beyond”, the author reveals a plausible theory of the origin of life on Earth based on the quantum concept of the sun’s energy as its life force and its awareness as consciousness, evolution as a creative act and more. The book should be of interest to life scientists as well as laymen and those seeking life understanding and self-realization.

No comprehensive study has been undertaken about the American learned men and women with Czechoslovak roots. The aim of this work is to correct this glaring deficiency, with the focus on men and women in medicine, applied sciences and engineering. It covers immigration from the period of mass migration and beyond, irrespective whether they were born in their European ancestral homes or whether they have descended from them. This compendium clearly demonstrates the Czech and Slovak immigrants, including Bohemian Jews, have brought to the New World, in these areas, their talents, their ingenuity, the technical skills, their scientific knowhow, as well as their humanistic and spiritual upbringing, reflecting upon the richness of their culture and traditions, developed throughout centuries in their ancestral home. This accounts for their remarkable success and achievements of theses settlers in the New World, transcending through their descendants, as this publication demonstrates. The monograph has been organized into sections by subject areas, i.e., Medicine, Allied Health Sciences and Social Services, Agricultural and Food Science, Earth and Environmental Sciences and Engineering. Each individual entry is usually accompanied with literature, and additional biographical sources for readers who wish to pursue a deeper study. The selection of individuals has been strictly based on geographical vantage, without regards to their native language or ethnical background. Some of the entries may surprise you, because their Czech or Slovak ancestry has not been generally known. What is conspicuous is a large percentage of listed individuals being Jewish, which is a reflection of high-level of education and intellect of Bohemian Jews. A prodigious number of accomplished women in this study is also astounding, considering that, in the 19th century, they rarely had careers and most professions refused entry to them.

This book uses the body to peel back the layers of time and taken-for-granted ideas about the two defining political forms of modernity, the state and the subject of rights. It traces, under the lens of the body, how the state and the subject mutually constituted each other all the way down, by going all the way back, to their original crafting in the seventeenth century. It considers two revolutions. The first, scientific, threw humanity out of the centre of the universe, and transformed the very meanings of matter, space, and the body; while the second, legal and political, re-established humans as the centre-point of the framework of modern rights. The book analyses the fundamental rights to security, liberty, and property respectively as the initial knots where the state-subject relation was first sealed. It develops three arguments, that the body served to naturalise security; to individualise liberty; and to privatise property. Covering a wide range of materials--from early modern Dutch painting, to the canon of English political thought, the Anglo-Scottish legal struggles of naturalization, and medical and religious practices--it shows both how the body has operated as history's great naturaliser, and how it can be mobilised instead as a critical tool that lays bare the deeply racialised and gendered constructions that made the state and the subject of rights. The book returns to the origins of constructivist and constitutive theorising to reclaim their radical and critical potential.

The inner figure of the blind victim, the one who has the power to withstand the dark pull of the archetypal dynamic of illness/wholeness, was particularly active for a long period of time after I initially lost my eyesight. She kept looking for what I could not see, checking each eye over and over again separately, crying out in despair to the other eye to see if it could not grasp what this one could not. As a metaphor pointing to something not seen—shadow material not identified with—the soul of my blindness kept reaching out past her claustrophobic confinement to the blackness pressing in on her. She was relentless in her efforts to stay connected to the “not-me” that might help her learn how to see in another less literal way. I reflect now on how seeing and my sense of self became symbiotic in that what I could see, I felt was still a part of me; I could still be whole. I still had a relationship with these parts of my experience. And what I could not see, was not lost to me forever vanished as if my very sense of myself was suddenly unavailable, absent. Dead.

Where was your soul before you were born? If your soul is immortal, did it have a "life" prior to birth? Did you choose your life and parents? Is reincarnation real? Elizabeth and Neil Carman, the authors of Cosmic Cradle, address these questions through interviews with adults and children who report pre-birth experiences (PBEs) not based on regression, hypnosis, or drugs. Instead, interviewees recall their pre-birth existence completely sober and awake. In contrast to near-death experiences (NDEs), which have been well documented to show us what the soul experiences after death, PBEs throw light upon our lives before birth. People with NDEs sense that they "return home" when their spirits cross to the other side. What is the nature of this place we "return" to? PBEs suggest that we come from the same place we return to: we come from the Light and return to the Light. The same eternal "you" progresses through life before life, human life, and life after death. This new edition of Cosmic Cradle explores your soul's journey into your mother's womb--where your soul comes from, the origin and purpose of your life, and the process by which you entered an earthly body. In pre-birth communications, parents meet a soul seeking to cross over from the heavenly realm to human birth. Persons with pre-birth memories recall existence in a luminous world before birth, in which they preview the upcoming life with a Divine Planner, and recall how they journeyed to their mothers' wombs. Have you ever wondered . . . Does my life have purpose? Have I lived before? Will I live again? Do I have spirit guides, guardian angels, and a higher self? Can my dreams of love, health, happiness, and success come true? The intention of this book is to address your pressing questions about life and introduce you to the most fascinating person you'll ever meet . . . yourself. LIFE: Before, During & After also will introduce you to the universal perspectives of spiritual psychology as shared by a diverse group of spirit teachers who have traveled the track of physical life (birth/death/rebirth) many times. They dwell in the "ocean of consciousness" surrounding Earth, a vast reservoir of knowledge, identified by Albert Einstein as a resource from which he extracted information. (Did you really think he came up with the Theory of Relativity all by his lonesome? Silly you.) Einstein became a "channel" by tapping into wisdom beyond his conscious awareness, much like composers Mozart, Bach, or Beethoven, and scientists like Galileo and da Vinci. Current channels include spiritual leaders Deepak Chopra (who partners with Oprah), Jane Roberts (The Nature of Personal Reality), Esther Hicks, and democrat contender, Marianne Williamson, author of A Politics of Love. Before birth, you tapped into the ocean of consciousness to seek counsel about how to set up your life in a manner to best support your goals. And then, you passed through The Valley of Forgetfulness and promptly forget your plan and your identity. You may be thinking that it's stupid to establish life goals and then forget everything. Actually, it's quite brilliant. If you knew the outcome up front, you might decide to hang out on the Good Ship Lollipop, playing beer pong instead of zestfully participating in your current and chosen life. Because life on Planet Earth can be intense, complicated, and scary, you're accompanied by a volunteer group of spirit guides. The mission of this boosters' club is to encourage you to expand self-awareness as you deal with whatever comes your way. You also come into life "factory equipped" (so to speak) with a higher self. As you tune into and begin to live this higher essence of yourself, you'll discover much, much more about how to fulfill your purpose for having chosen physical life in the first place. Even more good news! When your current life cycle is complete, you'll discover that dying is little more than moving from one density (physical) to another (non-physical). Instead of being a one-way ticket to heaven, hell, or oblivion, dying is simply part of the cycle in your nonstop odyssey of experience. LIFE: Before, During & After includes a sneak peek into the non-physical world of spirit. Surprise! Surprise! Life there is similar to life here and provides endless opportunities for study, creative activities, and play, unencumbered by the restraints of time and space. The timeless guidance in this book (the first in a SPIRIT SPEAKS series) will help you discover who you are. Just imagine how you'll feel as you consciously tap into guidance with your spirit teachers and higher self. You'll absolutely understand that you have the ability to create a happy life of mindfulness, joy, health, love, success, meaningful relationships, personal fulfillment . . . all the good stuff you desire and deserve. Decades of research have demonstrated that the parent-child dyad and the environment of the familyâ€"which includes all primary caregiversâ€"are at the foundation of children's well- being and healthy development. From birth, children are learning and rely on parents and the other caregivers in their lives to protect and care for them. The impact of parents may never be greater than during the earliest years of life, when a child's brain is rapidly developing and when nearly all of her or his experiences are created and shaped by parents and the family environment. Parents help children build and refine their knowledge and skills, charting a trajectory for their health and well-being during childhood and beyond. The experience of parenting also impacts parents themselves. For instance, parenting can enrich and give focus to parents' lives; generate stress or calm; and create any number of emotions, including feelings of happiness, sadness, fulfillment, and anger. Parenting of young children today takes place in the context of significant ongoing developments. These include: a rapidly growing body of science on early childhood, increases in funding for programs and services for families, changing demographics of the U.S. population, and greater diversity of family structure. Additionally, parenting is increasingly being shaped by technology and increased access to information about parenting. Parenting Matters identifies parenting knowledge, attitudes, and practices associated with positive developmental outcomes in children ages 0-8; universal/preventive and targeted strategies used in a variety of settings that have been effective with parents of young children and that support the identified knowledge, attitudes, and practices; and barriers to and facilitators for parents' use of practices that lead to healthy child outcomes as well as their participation in effective programs and services. This report makes recommendations directed at an array of stakeholders, for promoting the wide-scale adoption of effective programs and services for parents and on areas that warrant further research to inform policy and practice. It is meant to serve as a roadmap for the future of parenting policy, research, and practice in the United States.
